"You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Isaiah 43:10

28 weeks and some Bling

Just another belly shot- my goal is to take a picture every two weeks. So I went to have my wedding ring cleaned a few weeks ago only to discover it wouldn't come off (well not easily anyway). The jeweler said " You better not put that back on. You're only going to get bigger" (He knew I was due in August. Had already asked about me being pregnant) So, I've been going without a ring for a few weeks. Eddie told me last night that we needed to buy me "some bling", so that people would know I was more than his "baby mama". He cracks me up. So I am wearing this very fancy ring (sarcasm- it cost 20$) because he bought it for me. :)

"Well, maybe I want to make the baby something too..."

That's what Eddie said Friday night. We went away for the weekend together. I was crocheting a blanket for Josiah, when he asked me if I brought "extra yarn and an extra hook". "What? No. What for?"... "Well, maybe I want to make something for the baby too". My dad and Susan have been living with us for a few weeks, and Susan is quite crafty. She's the one who taught me to crochet. Well, turns out Eddie wants to make the baby a beanie. Who better to teach him than the pro. So this is what is going on in the Culin house tonight: Crochet class for daddy to be. :)

Pop goes my belly button

Never thought I'd have an "outie", but it looks like I might be headed in that direction. I lost my belly button at 20 weeks, which was surprising. Thought that wasn't supposed to happen until the end! In the last week it's started popping out. I don't mind people touching my stomach, but the belly button is a "no-no". It sends this shooting pain downward and does not feel nice!!

Belly Picture: week 26

Numerous people said, "You popped" this week- meaning I "Popped out" I think. I think I agree. Strangers are beginning to feel confident enough to ask about my baby, rather than questioning if I'm bloated. :) It's kind of sweet, and fun. Not a lot of new baby news. Took my glucose test. They want you to be between 70-140. I was 141, so back I go for the 3 hour test. I was a little bummed. Off by one point! (and the lab tech drew my blood 5 min early- I should have said something!!) Oh well, I'll read a book :) Registered last week at Babies R Us. Glad to have friends w/ babies. I pretty much scanned everything Vanessa said I should scan. Would have been pretty lost without her assistance. :)
